Low Commission brand development and site design

Low Commission is a true challenger in the insurance market. By doing without the large commissions that many brokers are paid – often multiple times on a single account – and taking a much smaller once-off fee, they can offer their customers far cheaper insurance. 

The logo we designed is revealed through a cut out, reflecting the cornerstone of Low Commmission’s philosophy of cutting out unnecessary insurance costs. It combines high production values with a “retail” look and feel; eyecatching, and suggestive of value.

A key feature of the logo is the surrounding bright orange dotted line and scissors, a signature design element which we use throughout the range of marketing communications to hammer home the cost-cutting message.

In designing the Low Commission website, we combined bold marketing messages with a user-friendly interface that lets the customer get straight to the heart of the matter: how much they could save. When you get a quote from Low Commission, the site shows you the Cheapest Broker Quote as a direct comparison. It’s effective communication, demonstrating in real money the power of the brand, and it’s a powerful call to action.
